I. What is a miniature SAR?

Miniature SAR (Miniature Synthetic Aperture Radar) is a miniaturized synthetic aperture radar system. Its core features are: small size and lightweight design, adaptable to platforms such as UAVs and small satellites, flexible and compact; capable of achieving sub-meter to centimeter-level high-resolution imaging; and all-weather, all-day operation. This has led to the increasingly widespread use of miniature SAR in civilian industries.

II. What is Target Recognition?

Target recognition, specifically, refers to the process of automatically or interactively detecting, classifying, identifying, and even confirming targets of interest using fused data acquired by the Lingyun series SAR system through algorithms.

Land Target Recognition: In the military field, this involves identifying the type, orientation, and even status of military vehicles such as tanks, armored vehicles, and missile launchers. In the civilian field, it can identify types of illegal structures, engineering machinery, and geological hazards (landslides, fissures), etc. KU-band SAR can penetrate thin camouflage nets, and combined with optical imagery, significantly improves the accuracy of target classification in complex environments.

Maritime Target Recognition: Detecting ships, it can identify ship types (such as oil tankers, container ships, warships), estimate their tonnage, and determine their heading and speed based on high-resolution imagery. It can be applied to maritime smuggling and illegal immigration.

Aerial Target Recognition: It can perform detailed identification of aircraft on airport tarmacs, distinguishing aircraft types, counting numbers, and monitoring scheduling status. Especially in the KU band, the Lingyun series can achieve 0.1-meter resolution imaging.

III. Advantages of KU-Band SAR

The KU-band is crucial for achieving fine target identification. Its short wavelength characteristics bring two core advantages: first, it can achieve ultra-high resolution down to 0.1 meters, clearly revealing the fine structure of targets; second, it is extremely sensitive to the scattering characteristics of complex structures. Whether it's the sharp edges of man-made targets or subtle surface movements and material differences, they all form unique and stable feature maps in KU-band images. This makes KU-band SAR irreplaceable in military camouflage identification and civilian fine mapping, especially in scenarios such as vegetation penetration, urban 3D modeling, and micro-variable analysis, where feature stability and interpretation confidence are significantly superior to other bands.

IV. Our Lingyun Series Products

The Lingyun series adopts a frequency-modulated continuous wave operating system, featuring a hybrid strip and spotlight operating mode, covering multiple bands including X, Ku, C, Ka, L, and W. It has single-polarization and full-polarization modes, real-time imaging capabilities, and optional interferometry functionality.

It can be applied to camouflage assessment, battlefield reconnaissance, point target characteristic identification, integrated reconnaissance and strike, surveying and mapping, agriculture, forestry, marine monitoring, geology, deformation monitoring and other fields.

Tianjing Yunhu | MiniSAR: Full Polarimetric Imaging Capability

In the field of remote sensing today, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), visible light, and infrared together form a multi-layered observation system. Visible light remote sensing is intuitive and clear, while infrared remote sensing excels at thermal sensing. However, both are passive detection methods, heavily reliant on sunlight or the target's own thermal radiation. Once they encounter cloud cover, nightfall, or rainy/foggy weather, their detection capabilities are significantly reduced or even completely lost.

Tianjing Yunhu | P-band Airborne SAR Radar System

Low-frequency radars (such as P-band and L-band radars) can "see farther and see more clearly" because of their longer wavelengths, lower attenuation, and reduced sensitivity to stealth coatings. In modern air defense systems, they are key to anti-stealth radars. They can penetrate 1-meter-thick camouflage netting and 3-meter-thick bushes to identify hidden tanks and radar stations, and are less likely to trigger enemy warning systems, demonstrating significant advantages in covert detection.

Tianjing Yunhu | Miniature SAR Vehicle Target Dataset

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) target detection datasets are a core foundation for training and evaluating deep learning models. These datasets cover various target types, including ships, aircraft, vehicles, bridges, and oil tanks, and are applicable to multiple fields such as military reconnaissance, maritime monitoring, and traffic management. They not only provide high-resolution SAR images but also contain precise annotation information (category, location, size, etc.), ensuring improved algorithm performance.

Tianjing Yunhu | Airborne SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) Calibration Capability

Airborne SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) calibration refers to the calibration of various parameters of an airborne SAR system using specific methods to eliminate systematic and environmental errors, thereby ensuring the quality of SAR images, positioning accuracy, and the accuracy of inversion parameters. Airborne SAR calibration is mainly divided into three categories: geometric calibration, radiometric calibration, and polarimetric calibration.

UAV L-band Heavy Orbit Interferometric SAR System: Airborne Verification for Millimeter-Level Deformation Monitoring

Synthetic Aperture Radar Interferometry (InSAR) technology, with its all-weather, 24/7 capability and high sensitivity to surface deformation, has become an important tool for geological hazard monitoring, ground subsidence investigation, and infrastructure health diagnosis. Integrating InSAR technology onto unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms further overcomes the limitations of long satellite revisit cycles, insufficient maneuverability, and high costs associated with manned operations, providing a new approach for regional, high-frequency, and high-precision deformation monitoring. However, the small size and susceptibility of UAV platforms to airflow disturbances make it difficult to maintain consistent flight paths during repeated flights, posing a significant challenge to double-track interferometry processing.
